OSHA Raises the Stakes on Nurse Safety

June 24, 2015 — The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) announced that any inspections of inpatient health care facilities should include an assessment of hazards such as musculoskeletal injuries, bloodborne pathogens, workplace violence, tuberculosis, and slips, trips, and falls.

For more information; to obtain compliance assistance; file a complaint or report amputations, losses of an eye, workplace hospitalizations, fatalities or situations posing imminent danger to workers, the public can call OSHA's toll-free hotline at 800-321-OSHA (6742).
