NPSF Discussion Forum (ListServ)Patientsafety-L is a moderated listserv (online discussion forum using E-mail) devoted to thoughtful conversation toward the development of a safer health care system. The National Patient Safety Foundation Listserv members offer an amazing plethora of experience and background. Individuals, including patients and families, researchers, providers, adminstrators and those in the boardroom, make up our listserv community. It is our hope that members will continue to raise important questions, address critical issues, and tackle significant problems related to patient safety. We appreciate your continued involvement in this discussion board. Our listserv has grown to over 2,500 individuals from across the globe! Two versions are available: regular email and digest version, which is sent via email once a day. To subscribe: Click here. To search the archives: Click here. To send a message to the group, email: PATIENTSAFETY-L@listserv.npsf.org Please remember that we apply a number of filter processes to each post to the listserv. It is ultimately up to the discretion of NPSF whether or not an email is sent to the group. Keep in mind the following guidelines when submitting an email: Format: All emails must be in PLAIN TEXT only! Do not send emails in HTML format. We are not able to process attachments. Links: Internet addresses must be typed in their entirety in plain text rather than using a hyperlink. This will work: http://www.npsf.org/ !Oops! To cancel a message you sent in error, please send a note marked with high importance directly to aspielman@npsf.org. Solicitations: Listserv members are not to solicit other members either individually or through the group. This includes products, programs, events or conferences. Unfortunately, at this time we are not able to post information about non-NPSF conferences due to the overwhelming number of events submitted. The intent of the listserv is to provide a vehicle for discussion surrounding patient safety. There were some frustrations due to the lack of discussions, and we hope the recent implementation of this policy has facilitated a more focused listserv. This policy will be reviewed upon the implementation of a newer, more technologically advanced forum. Copyright Laws: When calling attention to an article, please include only the reference, and link if available. Do not cut and paste the article to your email; copyright law prohibits such messages from being posted. The same rules apply to this listserv as when writing a manuscript. When in doubt, cite your reference! Sharing Tools and Resources: We sometimes receive 5 or more “send to me too” requests for resources mentioned. These responses WILL NOT be sent to the whole group. When an individual mentions they have a tool or resource that they would be willing to share, but it cannot be sent via the listserv, please send your request to the individual directly. If you have a tool or resource that can be shared easily, please share it with the entire group! Making changes to your subscription: Leave the subject line blank. In the body of the message type your command.
