2016 Congress: The Heart of Safety

The 18th Annual NPSF Patient Safety Congress took place in Scottsdale, Arizona, May 23-25, 2016. The theme for the year was THE HEART OF SAFETY, which was reflected in planned keynote sessions on teamwork, shared decision making with patients, and how to beat burnout, which is increasingly recognized as a significant problem in health care with a direct impact on patient and workforce safety.

The NPSF Congress as the only meeting with a global reach and a singular focus — safety in health care. In a time when there are so many competing priorities in health care, the NPSF Congress is the only conference where health care safety is the center of attention for every session, presenter, and networking opportunity.
