Certification in Patient Safety

The Certification Board for Professionals in Patient Safety (CBPPS) was recently featured in the Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation's (APSF) October newsletter. The article emphasizes the importance for members of the health care community to become certified in patient safety. The Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) credential was created to ensure that health professionals can demonstrate their knowledge of patient safety core competencies. To date, more than 1,300 health professionals have met all the necessary requirements to earn the Certified Professional in Patient Safety credential.
