The National Patient Safety Foundation's Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) certification program was featured in the news this week on the Patient Safety Network (PSNet).

Two perspectives were given, one by a pharmacist, Karen Frank, DNP, RN, MSHA, and one by a registered nurse, Zahra Khudiera, PharmD, on the value of certification.

A Registered Nurse’s Perspective: “The test is comprehensive and requires critical thinking. Successfully receiving CPPS recognition is rewarding and is consistent with my longstanding belief in the principles of nursing professionalism.” Read the full article.
