Elizabeth Ann Duthie, RN, PhD, a lifetime member of the American Society of Professionals in Patient Safety at NPSF (ASPPS) recently published a paper, “Accountability: Challenges to Getting It Right,” a reaction to a debate at the 2014 NPSF Patient Safety Congress.

In her paper, Dr. Duthie discusses “the science and strategies to create clarity that will redirect the dialogue… to one about learning for improvement when adverse events occur.”
