Candice Wicker named director of quality and patient safety at Arkansas Methodist

Candice Wicker, RN, BSN, has been named the Director of Quality and Patient Safety at Arkansmas Methodist Medical Center. Her responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining a safe environment of care for all patients, visitors, and family members; developing and implementing the facility’s Patient Safety Plan and Performance Improvement Plan; monitoring and evaluating internal quality data as it affects each department and relay performance improvement data to the Executive Board of Directors though the medical center’s quality council and working with staff to maintain compliance with Core Measures, consistent with publicly reported data.

Wicker has worked at AMMC since 2008. She earned her Bachelor of Science of Nursing Degree from Arkansas State University in 2006. She holds advanced life support (ACLS), pediatric advanced life support (PALS) and basic life support (BLS) Provider Certifications. She has more than seven years of registered nursing experience in emergency room, intensive care unit and cardiac cath lab settings.
