Introduction and Information for Users
Patientsafety-L is a moderated LISTSERV (online discussion forum using e-mail) devoted to thoughtful conversation toward the development of a safer health care system. Participants in the NPSF patient safety LISTSERV represent diverse backgrounds and an impressive array of knowledge and experience. A variety of individuals, including patients and families, researchers, providers, administrators, and those in the boardroom, make up our LISTSERV community. It is our hope that participants will continue to raise important questions, address critical issues, and tackle significant problems related to patient safety. We appreciate your continued involvement in this discussion board.
Joining
Participation is free and open to all. Participation in the LISTSERV is subject to compliance with terms as described in the Patientsafety-L policies. Please read and familiarize yourself with these guidelines before posting messages to the list. While subscription is not required to read and submit messages, we recommend that anyone interested in participating subscribe to the list to facilitate receiving and responding to messages.
Subscription Options
Two versions are available: regular e-mail and digest version, which is sent via e-mail once a day. Regular e-mail is the default subscription type for new subscribers. To change your subscription type, please follow the instructions under Subscription Management, below, or contact aspielman@npsf.org.

Send a message to the group, e-mail: PATIENTSAFETY-L@listserv.npsf.org.
To cancel a message sent in error, please send a note marked with high importance directly to aspielman@npsf.org
Posting schedule
Because this is a moderated forum, there will usually be some delay between submission of a post and its distribution to the list. Messages submitted outside of business hours will usually be reviewed and published the next business day.
