NPSF Patient Safety Immersion Initiative

Community – Education – Professional Advancement

The integration of ongoing, structured engagement, education, and professional development is an essential component to sustainable patient safety efforts within health care organizations.

Addressing this critical need, NPSF has created the Patient Safety Immersion Initiative to provide innovative, turnkey, co-branded resources designed to support the patient safety priorities of organizations of all sizes and areas of focus. This program provides robust resources for sharing knowledge, promoting competencies, and advancing cultural standards for interdisciplinary teams.

How does it work?

The Patient Safety Immersion Initiative incorporates individual participation in the American Society of Professionals in Patient Safety; access to the NPSF CE/CME-accredited Online Patient Safety Curriculum; and an opportunity to sit for the evidence-based credentialing examination from the Certification Board for Professionals in Patient Safety.

Program components may be packaged as a unit or selected individually as needed to address specific strategic and tactical needs, participant levels, and budgetary requirements.
